No trabalho de Daniel Lie o tempo é o pilar central de sua reflexão. Desde a memória mais antiga e afetiva - trazendo histórias familiares e pessoais - até o tempo das coisas no mundo; o período de uma vida, e a duração dos estados dos elementos.
Por meio de instalações, objetos e hibridização de linguagens de arte, utiliza as coisas como elas são e baseia o trabalho em conceitos relacionados à arte da performance - uma arte baseada no tempo, efemeridade e presença. Para evidenciar essas três instâncias, elementos que possuem o tempo contido em si são utilizados como a matéria em decomposição, crescimento de plantas, fungos e o corpo. Em sua pesquisa, o olhar é voltado para tensões e tentativas de quebrar binaridades entre ciência e religião, ancestralidade e presente, morte e vida.
Artista indonésiane-brasileire, transgênere, nasceu em
São Paulo e atualmente vive em Yogyakarta, Indonésia.
Daniel Lie já desenvolveu trabalhos site-specific em mais de 11 países com destaque para a sua recente individual no Jupiter ArtLand (Reino Unido), e participação em exposições coletivas como Bienal de Yogyakarta (Indonésia), Fundação Osage (China), Viena Festwochen (Austria), Kampnagel (Alemanha), Espacios Revelados (Chile e Colômbia). No Brasil, seu trabalho esteve presente na Trienal de Artes do Sesc Sorocaba, Centro Cultural São Paulo, Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, Casa do Povo e Oficina Cultural Oswald de Andrade.
In Daniel Lie’s practice time is the central pillar of the reflection. Since the oldest and affective memory - bringing family and personal stories - until the time of things in the world; the period of a lifetime, and the duration of the states of the elements.
Through installations, objects and hybridization of languages of art - using the things as they are - the work creates bridges with performance art concepts such as an art based on time, ephemerality and presence. To highlight these three instances, elements that have the time contained in itself are set in the space, as installations, such as decaying matter, growth of plants, fungi and the body.
In the work research, the look is facing tensions and breaking a binary thought between science and religion, ancestry and present, life and death.

Sao Paulo/Brazil and is based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Daniel, has developed site specific works for more than 11 countries and institutions such se Jupiter Artland(U.K); Yogyakarta Biennale (Indonesia); Osage Foundation (Hong Kong); Vienna Festwochen( Austria); Kampnagel (Germany); Espacios revelados ( Chile and Colômbia).
