Paulo Vivacqua apresenta a exposição solo Ohm.
A mostra apresenta uma série de seus recentes trabalhos e lança o multiplo Ohm, derivado da obra homônima apresentada na instalação "The Triple Ohm", na 30o Bienal de São Paulo em 2012.
Ohm é um múltiplo que é, a um só tempo, uma composição e um objeto. Uma presença no limiar do que se apresenta plasticamente e a evanescência, efêmera e imersiva, própria do som que se escuta. A densidade sonora e contínua da composição preenche o espaço a sua volta tal como uma caixa de ressonância, tornando o tempo elemento intrínseco do trabalho.
Há um apelo sinestésico e cíclico no cruzamento de diferentes sentidos que regem a corporificação da obra: a sonoridade evoca tanto o sentido meditativo do mantra hindu Ohm quanto a imersão sonora e temporal no cilindro de aço através dos impulsos elétricos que conduzidos pelos fios, quando em reverberação nos falantes, determinam o comprimento e diâmetro do tubo amplificando e condensando o fenômeno acústico, num campo de emanações que alcança o estágio mais abstrato na ressonância do sentido, o signo Ômega Ω, última letra do alfabeto grego, símbolo universal para medição de potência, gravada na superfície polida como que por vontade do som, não do intelecto. O anúncio de que este sistema é capaz, pelo ecoar de términos e recomeços, invocar todos os estágios da matéria. O som e as formas que produzem som.
Em uma época de “hipermodernidade”, como classifica Gilles Lipovestky onde: "o tempo é acelerado, se rarefaz, extrapola o mundo do trabalho. Mas também, por outro lado, surgem as construções mais personalizadas dos usos do tempo”.
Ohm é um convite da obra de Vivacqua para ver e ouvir com "atenção plena", estado de consciência tão em voga hoje, onde buscamos lidar com os excessos de demandas e estímulos.

Paulo Vivacqua presents the solo exhibition Ohm.
The show presents a series of his recent works and launches the Ohm multiple, derived from the homonymous work presented at the installation "The Triple Ohm" at the 30th São Paulo Biennial in 2012.
Ohm is a multiple that is both a composition and an object. A presence at the threshold of what is presented plastically and the evanescence, ephemeral and immersive, characteristic of the sound that is heard. The sound and continuous density of the composition fills the space around it such as a resonance box, making time the intrinsic element of the work.
There is a synaesthetic and cyclic appeal at the intersection of the different meanings that govern the embodiment of the work: the sonority evokes both the meditative sense of the Hindu mantra Ohm and the sonorous and temporal immersion in the steel cylinder through the electrical impulses that are driven by the wires, reverberation in the speakers, determine the length and diameter of the tube amplifying and condensing the acoustic phenomenon, in a field of emanations that reaches the most abstract stage in the resonance of the sense, the sign Omega Ω, last letter of the Greek alphabet, universal symbol for power measurement , engraved on the polished surface as if by the will of the sound, not of the intellect. The announcement that this system is capable, by the echo of terms and restarts, invokes all stages of matter. The sound and shapes that produce sound.
