"Eis-me aqui" retrata a mulher através de personagens femininos representados em diferentes épocas da história do teatro, passando por Medéia (Medéia, Eurípides. Grécia, 431 a.C.) e Nina (A Gaivota, Anton Tchekhov. Rússia, 1896). as potentes imagens em cor, pintadas a óleo por Parra especialmente para a publicação, se intercalam com citações nos idiomas originais das obras de teatro de onde as personagens foram extraídas.

O livro é uma edição limitada de 350 exemplares (230 português / 120 inglês) e inclui uma edição especial em que 35 exemplares trazem a obra Maenad, coeditada em colaboração com a 55SP.

Maenad: na mitologia grega, as Mênades, também conhecidas como Bacantes, Tíades ou Bassárides, eram mulheres seguidoras e adoradoras do culto de Dionísio. Geralmente retratadas em um estado de frenesi extático que combinava dança, intoxicação e cerimônias orgiásticas. As Bacantes foram o primeiro e talvez único grupo religioso proibido e perseguido em Roma. Elas são as antepassadas do corpo feminino tentador que foi odiado e rechaçado desde o Cristianismo . Elas são as antepassadas das mulheres que foram queimadas e enforcadas em plena Renascença, por "bruxaria".

Maenad é uma obra viva, o material escolhido por Regina Parra tem como característica a mudança com a ação do tempo. O látex vai mudar de cor com o passar dos anos, amarelando aos poucos até chegar em uma coloração de tom mais terroso.

A obra pode ser pendurada usando o suporte de acrílico que a acompanha, adquirindo uma forma única e flexível, característica do próprio material.

Regina Parra é artista plástica, Mestre em Teoria e Crítica da Arte. inicialmente estudou teatro e trabalhou com o diretor Antunes Filho como assistente de direção por três anos. a ligação com as artes cênicas, principalmente com a tragédia grega, está muito presente em seu trabalho como artista visual.

Ana Paula Lopes é assistente da curadoria na Pinacoteca de São Paulo e pesquisa o território geopolítico na construção da curadoria, tendo como base o geógrafo Milton Santos e a história das exposições na América Latina nas décadas de 1970-1980.

Julia Morelli é idealizadora da 55SP, um projeto híbrido que comissiona edições de artista e tem como princípio difundir a arte contemporânea, fomentando novos colecionadores.

Maria Lago é designer e editora da Família Editions, que pretende interpretar, criar e publicar através do formato editorial a obra de artistas contemporâneos brasileiros.

Maenad: in Greek mythology, the Maenads, also known as Bacchae, Thyiads or Bassarids, were women followers and worshipers of the cult of Dionysus. Usually portrayed in a state of ecstatic frenzy that combined dancing, intoxication and orgiastic ceremonies, the Bacchae were the first and perhaps only religious group banned and persecuted in Rome. They are the ancestors of the tempting female body that has been hated and rejected since Christianity. They are the ancestors of the women who were burned and hanged in the middle of the Renaissance for “witchcraft”.

Maenad is a living work. The material chosen by Regina Parra is characterized by change with the action of time. The latex will change color over the years, slowly turning yellow until it acquires a more earthy color.

The work can be hung using the acrylic support, acquiring a unique and flexible shape, characteristic of the material itselfRegina Parra is an artist, Master in Theory and Art Criticism. she initially studied theater and worked with director Antunes Filho as an assistant director for three years. the connection with the performing arts, especially with Greek tragedy, is very present in her work as a visual artist.

Ana Paula Lopes is assistant curator at Pinacoteca de São Paulo and researches the geopolitical territory in the construction of curatorship, based on geographer Milton Santos and the history of exhibitions in Latin America in the 1970s-1980s. ⠀⠀⠀ Julia Morelli is the creator of 55SP, a hybrid project that commissions artist editions and whose principle is to spread contemporary art, fostering new collectors. which intends to interpret, create and publish the work of contemporary Brazilian artists through an editorial format.
